Man and his dog rescued after falling in ice at Lake Waban in Massachusetts

A man and his dog were rescued from the icy Lake Waban in Wellesley, Massachusetts on Sunday, January 12th, 2025 at 4:55 pm.

The man identified as Ed Berger, fell into the lake after attempting to rescue his dog, Tommy after the pet had run onto the ice and fallen in.

The Wellesley Fire Department was called by a passerby and footage of the rescue was captured via a Wellesley Police UAV/Drone that assisted.

Ed and Tommy are now safe and being evaluated at the local hospital and vet clinic.
