Moment cow falls from lorry into busy M6 traffic
Dramatic footage captures the moment a cow fell from a lorry into busy traffic on the M6.
The animal dropped onto the inside lane of the motorway at around 10am on Tuesday 1 August.
It can be seen skidding towards oncoming traffic, forcing drivers to take evasive action.
Police say another cow also broke free two miles away, and the motorway was closed for around 90 minutes between junctions seven and 10.
The cows were left injured according to the Central Motorway Police Group.
Kevin Rogers witnessed the bizarre incident unfold in front of him.
“The cow fell out the bottom of the lorry,” he said.
“I was the first car coming head-on to it and I managed to miss it.”
