Timeline of baby killing nurse Lucy Letby as she’s found guilty of hospital murders
Lucy Letby has been found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
An investigation was launched more than three years ago, prompted by abnormally high rates of infant mortality between 2015 and 2016.
This timeline details how the case unfolded: from when concerns were first raised in 2016, to Letby's three arrests between 2018 and 2020 and her 10-month long trial which began in October 2022.
After 22 days of deliberations, a jury found Letby guilty of seven counts of murder and seven counts of attempted murder in relation to six babies.
