Greta Thunberg protests outside luxury London hotel during oil executives meeting
Greta Thunberg appeared alongside hundreds of climate activists gathered outside a meeting of oil and gas companies in central London on Tuesday 17 October.
She also spoke at a press conference organised by Fossil Free London, as the group targeted an annual meeting of oil industry leaders at the luxury InterContinental Hotel in Park Lane.
Companies including Shell, Total and Equinor are represented at the three-day conference, running from 17-19 October.
“The elites of the oil money conference have no intention of transition, their plan is to continue this destructive search of profits,” Ms Thunberg said at the press conference.
“We have to take direct action to kick oil money out of politics.”
