Samurai sword-wielding robbers chased away by brave customer during Leeds shop raid
A customer chased away samurai sword-wielding robbers at shop in Leeds in terrifying CCTV footage.
Three masked men armed with swords burst into a Londis on Wetherby Road on 23 December 2021.
They terrorised a lone female member of staff behind the counter and threatened her with a sword while demanding cash and cigarettes.
Footage shows the brave bystander, who was cornered by one of the men brandishing a large knife, challenge the robber before picking up a box of beer bottles and launching it at the trio, causing them to flee.
Jeffrey Chikosha, 25, of Leeds, was jailed for nine years and Brandon Jarrett, 23, of Halifax, was sentenced to six years and nine months by Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday (18 July).
