Footage shows people in Italy being airlifted from roofs of their flooded homes
Emergency services airlifted residents to safety from the roof of a house as extreme flooding hit Emilia Romagna in Italy on Wednesday, 17 May.
The extreme weather prompted the cancellation of the F1 Grand Prix weekend in Imola as flood water surrounded the circuit, with teams and personnel told to evacuate.
Italian authorities have placed the Emilia Romagna region under a red warning due heavy rain and rising levels of the Santerno river.
