Firefighters search for missing after landslide devastates Italian Alpine town
The Italian fire service has released footage showing the true scale of destruction and devastation after a mudslide ploughed through a street in Bardonecchia, Turin.
The rush of water, mud, and debris smashed through gates and brought down trees after heavy rain caused a mountain stream to burst its banks on Monday 14 August.
Cars and streets can be seen covered in thick sludge. This team of firefighters rescued six people from an overturned camper.
The mudslide happened the same day the town was celebrating its patron feast day, St. Hipolito.
