Cleverly says Jewish friends are keeping children off social media due to Israel-Hamas war coverage
James Cleverly has revealed he has Jewish friends who are “trying to keep their children off of social media” in order to protect them from “being assaulted with images of Israelis who have been murdered”.
The foreign secretary added that “no one in the modern era should have to endure that kind of repeated pain” as he spoke in the House of Commons on Wednesday 18 October.
Mr Cleverly made the comment as he answered an urgent question in parliament from Sir Iain Duncan Smith on the UK media coverage of Hamas “atrocities”.
