Watch: Horse pulled from muddy water and saved from drowning by NYPD
Footage captures the moment a horse was saved from drowning by the NYPD after falling into water in the Bronx, New York, on Friday afternoon (12 May).
In a video shared on social media, officers explained how the responded after a call came in about a “horse in the water” near Orchard Beach.
Using rescue equipment, the team managed to secure the horse, named Bear, and hoist it out of the water.
Bear appeared to be uninjured and could be seen standing and eating grass following the incident.
