Grant Shapps doing 'great job' despite lobbying allegations, Alok Sharma says

Cabinet minister Alok Sharma has said that Transport Secretary Grant Shapps is doing a “great job” despite lobbying allegations made against Shapps in The Sunday Times.

Shapps has been accused of using public money to support private airfields challenging planning developments and is a keen amateur pilot himself.

Labour has called for an investigation into the matter and adds to an already long string of lobbying allegations made against MPs following the Paterson scandal.
