Gigantic shark shocks passengers on boat in Atlantic

An incredible video shows an enormous shark swimming past a boat in the Atlantic, causing the passengers to shout in awe or terror.

The creature appears to be a basking shark, the second-largest fish in the world after the whale shark. It can grow to 40 feet, but is quite harmless to humans as it prefers to feed on plankton near the surface, according to ocean conservation charity Oceana.

The footage was shared on TikTok by Alex Albrecht, who wrote that he had been sailing in the Atlantic for six weeks when he saw “this big f****** shark.”
