Rachel Reeves says the BBC pulling Gary Lineker off the air was ‘out of proportion’
Rachel Reeves has weighed in on the impartiality row sparked by the BBC pulling Gary Lineker off the air over a tweet.
The football pundit compared the language used to launch the government’s small boats legislation to that used in 1930s Germany.
His suspension from the broadcaster led to a mass boycott of the BBC, sending their weekend programming into chaos.
The shadow chancellor said on Sunday that the BBC’s decision was “out of proportion.”
