Moment firefighter saves one-year-old son from drowning
A firefighter jumped into action when he saw his one-year-old son fall into their family pool without a float.
Hemet fire engineer and paramedic Zachary Petit quickly reaching to pull his son Cole out of the pool after the youngster slipped on 16 May.
Hemet Fire described the footage as a "sobering reminder" that a child drowning can happen to anyone.
"Even though both parents took all the proper precautions including a gate around the pool... the boy still managed to get in the water. Dad only had his back turned for a few seconds," the department said.
