Grenfell families still wait for change six years on from tragedy
Grenfell Tower survivors and bereaved family members have renewed their calls for change on the six-year anniversary of the devastating fire that killed 72 people in west London.
Daniela Gottardo, the mother to one of the victims, said: “Time stayed still for me since that damned night, I pray to God that the people responsible will be punished”.
As families wait for the final results of the inquiry, the community is still pushing to change regulations on cladding and fire response.
“Through the pain we felt that night, we know we don’t want others to go through the same thing we did”, said Tiago Alves a survivor and member of Grenfell United.
