‘Heartbroken’ Dwayne Johnson sends message to people of Hawaii after devastating wildfires
Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson says he is “completely heartbroken” over the deadly wildfires in Maui, as he urged natives and workers to “stay strong”.
The 51-year-old posted a video on Instagram on Sunday, addressing the deadliest US wildfire in more than a century. The blaze has killed at least 93 people and destroyed a town.
Describing his heartbreak, the actor pointed his fans to the Hawaii Community Foundation for relief efforts.
Johnson, who lived in Hawaii growing up, said: “I'm completely heartbroken over this and I know all of you are too.”
