Moment drink-driver four times over limit runs over pensioner with 4x4
A drink-driver who was four times over the legal limit left a pensioner with life-changing injuries after he ran her over in a Surrey town.
Steven Selwood, 43, of Longdene Road, Haslemere, knocked the pensioner off her bike before driving over her as she lay on the ground.
The victim allowed footage of the incident to be released as a warning about of the potential consequences of drink driving.
Selwood was convicted of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit, and jailed for two years and three months.
