Daughter of British expat accused of murdering terminally ill wife in Cyprus issues plea for his release
The daughter of a British expat accused of murdering his terminally ill wife at their home in Cyprus has urged the court to release her father.
Retired miner David Hunter, 76, insists his terminally ill wife, 74, had begged him to end her life and his lawyers argue her death was an assisted suicide.
Hunter’s daughter, Lesley Cawthorne, told Good Morning Britain: “I want my dad to come home. I love my dad. I have no doubt he was helping my mum in the way she wanted to be helped. They were married for over 50 years.”
