Driver reverses through Peterborough streets to evade police capture
A driver reversed the length of a residential street in an attempt to evade police in Peterborough.
Mobashar Yasin, 29, of Gladstone Street, Millfield, was signalled to stop in Cobden Street, but instead reversing the whole length of Lime Tree Avenue and mounted the curb on 15 November.
He then drove at speed, narrowly avoiding vehicles and eventually stopped after being blocked by a member of the public’s car.
Yasin admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis, failing to stop for police and driving without due care and attention.
He was disqualified from driving for almost four years and must pay a £500 fine.
