Cop26: Barack Obama quotes William Shakespeare in speech

Former US president Barack Obama quoted William Shakespeare when making his address to the Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow on Monday (8 November).

The former president took the line “what wound did ever heal but by degrees”, to make a point about the difficult road we have ahead in healing our planet from the ravages of temperature-rising gases – but in classic Obama fashion, made the point that this difficult task was still achievable.
