Boris Johnson states 'sensible solution is needed for Northern Ireland'
Boris Johnson has spoken out about his plans for the levelling up strategy.
Earlier today, he stated: “What we’ve got to do is get to a sensible solution that recognises that it’s crazy to have checks on goods that are basically circulating within the single market of the United Kingdom.”
The prime minister suggested that “common sensical practical steps “ would be part of that solution, in order to “weed out, check on things that might be at risk of circulation in Ireland as well as Northern Ireland.”
