Boris Johnson holds first cabinet meeting after reshuffle
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has gathered his new cabinet for a “half-time pep talk” following a reshuffle of his front and back benches this week.
The prime minister made a joke about being in more “delivery rooms” than anybody else in the room, which was well-received by those in attendance.
The big winners from the shuffle were Liz Truss, who has been moved to foreign secretary following the demotion of Dominic Raab to justice; and Nadhim Zahawi who is the new education secretary after doing a good job as vaccine minister.
