Belarus sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya 'so happy' to reach safety in Poland
Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, the Belarusian sprinter who feared being sent home after publicly criticising her coaches at the Tokyo Olympics, said she is “so happy” to be in the safety of Poland.
Tsimanouskaya held a press conference on Thursday (6 August) where she spoke to reporters in English about her experience at the Games, and how she sought help from Japanese police.
The Belarusian athlete told reporters how she used Google Translate to communicate with the police officers at the airport, and ask for help.
