Watch: BBC chief Tim Davie addresses Strictly future amid show scandal
Tim Davie, the director general of the BBC, has said that the corporation will “never tolerate unacceptable behaviour of any kind” as he addressed a storm of negative stories about the culture and treatment of contestants on Strictly Come Dancing.
Davie told journalists on Tuesday (23 July) that there will inevitably be “competitiveness, hard work, and the will to do well” on the show, “but there are limits and the line should never be crossed”.
The BBC is facing its biggest controversy in 20 years as allegations of bullying and violence have surfaced against two of the show’s top dancers.
