Cyclone Mocha hits Bangladesh with winds of 130mph
Cyclone Mocha has hit the coastlines of Bangladesh and Myanmar, bringing winds of up to 130mph.
Footage shared by Abdusattor Esoev, UN Migration’s Chief of Mission in Bangladesh, shows disaster volunteers battling strong gusts as the storm makes landfall.
At least six people have been reported dead in Myanmar, and while no deaths have yet been reported in Bangladesh, rescuers are working to evacuate people from flooded coastal areas.
Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, Myanmar, is reported to have taken heavy damage from the cyclone.
