Asda co-owner slammed by MPs during fuel prices investigation: ‘I’m not very happy at all’
Asda’s co-owner was accused by MPs of failing to answer “fairly simple” questions from MPs hearing evidence over the supermarket chain’s fuel prices and employment practices.
Committee chair Darren Jones slammed Mohsin Issa for “going round in circles” during a heated hearing with the Business and Trade Committee this week.
“I’m personally not very happy at all with the responses from Mr Issa, who is the co-owner of Asda. You’ve asked him some fairly simple questions and unfortunately, Mr Issa says he’s not in a position to answer,” committee member Ian Lavery also said.
