Moment armed police arrest widower in motorhome on M5 for shooting two men dead over family court case
This is the moment armed police arrest a widower on the M5 after he shot dead two men over a family court case dispute.
Stephen Alderton, 67, shot dead his daughter’s ex-partner Joshua Dumore, 32, and her ex-partner’s father Gary Dunmore, 57, over a family court case involving his grandson on 29 March this year.
After Alderton was arrested hours later by armed officers on the M5 near Worcestor, he told police that “sometimes you have to do what you have to do even if it’s wrong in the eyes of the law”.
He has today (23 October) been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 25 years.
