Queen Consort shares love of reading with Children’s Laureate to mark World Book Day
The Queen Consort has spoken about her love of reading and revealed her favourite childhood tales in a conversation with the Children’s Laureate for World Book Day on Thursday (2 March).
Speaking to Joseph Coelho in the Clarence House Library, Camilla said of reading to her grandchildren: “It was just a wonderful way of getting to know them, as you say, bonding. Sitting on the end of their bed and just reading.”
“It is really nice when you see the pure enjoyment that children are getting out of reading,” she added.
