Moment coastguards recover huge whale carcass floating in sea

Footage shows the heartbreaking moment coastguards recovered the body of a dead whale was recovered off the coast of Iceland.

This video shows the hugely inflated carcass being recovered by the Icelandic Coast Guard at Stakksfjordur Bay on Wednesday, 25 January.

It was believed that the creature drowned after it got trapped in abandoned mussel-fishing gear on the ocean floor.

Built-up gasses were reportedly the cause of the body's inflated appearance.
