Diver plunges 50 metres down icy lake in Switzerland
Czech diver David Vencl broke records as he plunged further than 50 metres down a frozen lake in Switzerland.
The 40-year-old free-diver took on the challenge without a wetsuit, and can be seen hopping into a hole in the ice in this clip.
He spent one minute and 54 seconds underneath the ice in Switzerland’s Lake Sils on Tuesday, 14 March.
Vencl has preciously made it into the Guinness World Records book for swimming across a frozen lake in 2021.
