Listen to the tremor of an active volcano in Mexico

A TikToker has captured the sound of a tremor from Mexico’s Popocatepetl volcano, as it spewed ash and dust into the air.

Gerardo Matamoros embarked on a five-hour hike to get within around half a mile of the volcano over the weekend, before sharing the experience on social media.

“I’m going to try to record [what] the tremor of Don Goyo sounds like,” he tells his followers, before turning the camera to show the impressive sight.

His video has since been viewed over two million times on TikTok.
