‘Checkpoint officer’ elephant leaves car passengers giggling
A wild elephant in Thailand left the passengers of a car giggling after it appeared to take on the role of a checkpoint officer.
This video, filmed by an occupant of the car, shows the huge animal standing in the middle of the road in rural Chachoengsao province.
Once it noticed the vehicle, the elephant walked directly over to the group, appearing to conduct a checkpoint inspection.
After a few moments had passed, the elephant, apparently happy with its stop, carried on and sent the car on its way.
