Moment possum pops up out of car hood to shock driver

This is the moment a possum popped up out of a car hood, much to the surprise of a police officer in Oklahoma.

Trooper Ryan Griffith got quite the surprise when he went to pick up a pool unit car that had been sitting in the lot since December.

When he went to open the hood and jump start the vehicle, the possum was found curled up under it.

The possum was released unharmed over the fence.

A police spokesman said: “We’ll see if he eventually comes back over to make a habitat in another one of our cars.”
