Cost of living: Martin Lewis advises households whether they should get fixed rate energy tariff
Martin Lewis has given his two cents on whether households should get a fixed-rate energy tariff.
He said you would want your rate to be set at 16 or 17 per cent cheaper than current prices to be “worthwhile.”
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the money-saving guru said that while a fix gives you “price certainty,” you need to consider the pros and cons.
“I probably wouldn’t fix at eight per cent cheaper now ... I think cheaper fixes will come along,” he said, but added he “can’t promise” that will be the case.
