Makeup artist says Halloween contact lens 'ripped layer off eyeball'

A makeup artist from Seattle said a pair of all black contact lenses she wore as part of a Halloween costume last year removed the outer layer of her cornea and made her fear she would go blind.

Jordyn Oakland, 27, tried to remove the lenses at the end of her night and said she felt like they were ‘stuck’ – she then attempted to pull harder and felt a “really bad scratch”.
