Traumatized Lioness rescued from war-torn Ukraine takes first steps outside at UK animal sanctuary
This is the heartwarming moment a lioness rescued from war-torn Ukraine takes her first steps outside at a sanctuary in Kent.
Three-year-old Yuna was traumatized when debris from a missile attack landed near her home in Ukraine and was taken to a Wild Animal Rescue near Kyiv.
She was then transported to the UK and arrived at The Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden on 17 August, but sadly wanted to stay inside her enclosure.
After previously being confined to a small space on a concrete floor, curiosity eventually got the better of Yuna and she ventured outside of her enclosure to feel the grass on her paws for the first time.
