Ashley Nwokorie from Banstead in Surrey owns a family-sized allotment, where she grows year-round seasonal produce – everything from pumpkins and cabbages to apples and berries which she shares with her daughters (and fellow gardeners and veg-lovers) Sophia, 6, and Jane, 3.
Here she shares her tips for growing your own, her philosophy on gardening and why this ‘evolving journey’ is a great way to relax, clear your mind from daily distractions and find a kind of therapy in working the soil and tending to your crops.
