Giant leatherback turtle rescued and released back into the sea
This is the moment a giant 42 stone turtle was rescued from a river bed and returned to the sea in Massachusetts, US.
The leatherback turtle had become beached on a mudflat in the Herring River – before animal rescue crews found them and were able to lift the turtle to safety.
A team of volunteers had to work together to lift the massive reptile as it weighed around the same amount as four average men.
