How your Christmas dinner can improve your health, according to experts
Scientists have found that elements of Christmas dinners can help us with health benefits.
A study at Newcastle University found five servings of carrots per week was linked to a 20 per cent reduction in developing all types of cancer.
Other traditional elements of the festive dinner can also be beneficial - scientists studying the sprout found that steaming them retains glucosinolates, which may aid the body in fighting chronic conditions, such as diabetes and cancer.
Experts also studied 250 potato varieties, finding that Roosters were perfect for making the best roast potato.
