Cat stuck in 10-metre-deep tank at sewage plant rescued
A cat was rescued by firefighters and the RSPCA after falling into a 10-metre-deep storm tank at a sewage plant in Nuneaton on Sunday, 1 September.
Trent, named after the Severn Trent plant he got into trouble in, was spotted by a staff member who was concerned that he could have drowned.
The RSPCA were called and contacted Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service to bring in specialist equipment.
Trent was checked over and had no injuries.
He was taken to the RSPCA’s Birmingham Animal Centre.
Trent has no microchip, so if his owner does not come forward he will be up for rehoming.
