Swati Patel, co-founder of Miswa Chemicals Ltd, on how making mistakes is the key to success

Specialising in automotive and insecticide products, Miswa Chemicals Ltd launched in 1979, run by Swati Patel and her parents.

The company, while initially focusing on UK consumers, soon found its feet in the export market - supplying 29 different countries around the world.

Despite 44 years of experience, Swati reveals the company still looks for fresh ideas – and explains why making mistakes, falling and picking yourself up again, is a key part of learning in business – and the only way to progress.
