BBC News host pretends to type in bizarre programme sign-off
A BBC News presenter’s bizarre sign-off was caught on camera, revealing that she was pretending to type on a laptop.
Pam Caulfield ended her segment on BBC Points West by speaking to camera, telling viewers: “That’s it from me, I hope you have a lovely afternoon whatever you’re up to,” before shuffling papers.
The camera then zooms out, revealing that the host was typing on a laptop - but appeared not actually to be writing anything.
“Wonder what she’s writing, there,” TV reviewer Scott Bryan said on X/Twitter.
