Watch: Amy Dowden makes triumphant Strictly Come Dancing return after cancer treatment

Amy Dowden made a triumphant return to Strictly Come Dancing following her treatment for breast cancer.

The professional dancer faced months of gruelling cancer treatment and was forced to step back from the series last year.

But, the 34-year-old dancer took centre stage on Saturday night (14 September) for the launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

Taking part in the professional’s opening dance to VengaBoys, the Welsh dancer smiled from ear to ear as she was applauded by her colleagues.

Amy’s return was celebrated by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, before the dancer donned a pink cocktail dress for a second performance of the night.
