Shakira claims howling in songs helps her connect with fans
Singer Shakira has said howling helps her connnect with her fans.
The Columbian singer is famously known for howling in many of her hit songs.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sunday, the 47-year-old explained why she howls.
Shakira said: “Wolves howl, not only when they are in pain and in danger, but also as a way to connect with their pack.
“That’s how I feel I connect with my audience through my music.
“I have this friendship with my audience that has endured time and all kinds of things, and it has remained alive for so many years, and it is a true friendship.”
