Perrie Edwards hints new song she ‘can’t listen to it without crying’ is about Jesy Nelson
Perrie Edwards has hinted that a “really sad” song she wrote for her new album is about former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson.
The singer, 30, told the Zach Sang Show on YouTube that one of her tracks explores a “friendship she no longer has” and makes her tearful when she listens to it.
Nelson, 33, is now a solo singer having left the X-Factor group in 2020 to protect her mental health.
She and the band have not kept in touch.
“[The song is about] a friendship that I no longer have... They were a big part of my life so it’s sad how it all ended up,” Edwards explained.
