Oscars: Michelle Yeoh’s family celebrate her Best Actress win from Kuala Lumpur
Michelle Yeoh’s mother cried tears of joy for her “little princess” and Malaysian supporters erupted in cheers at a special viewing of the Oscars.
Janet Yeoh, 84, wiped away tears as her daughter became the first Asian to win Best Actress at the 95th Academy Awards for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
“I am proud of my daughter, she is a very hard-working girl,” Yeoh told a news conference after the viewing at a cinema in Kuala Lumpur.
