Maggie Smith complains Judi Dench is always offered acting roles first in resurfaced video

Dame Maggie Smith complained fellow actor and friend Dame Judi Dench was always offered acting roles first in a resurfaced video.

The iconic actors starred alongside Dame Joan Plowright in Tea with the Dames back in 2018, to look back at their careers.

“We’re going to work forever if we’re asked,” Dame Judi.

Dame Maggie replied: “But you’re always asked first, if I may say so.”

A statement from Dame Maggie’s sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens, confirmed the news of her death on Friday 27 September.
