Maggie Smith teaches Carol Burnett Cockney in rarely-seen wholesome clip
A clip has resurfaced of Maggie Smith teaching Carol Burnett to speak with a Cockney accent, following the death of the Harry Potter actor aged 89.
First airing in 1975, Ms Smith appeared on The Carol Burnett Show as part of a sketch, which saw the duo sing together as she taught the TV host to speak in the accent.
Ms Smith has made several other appearances on the show, including in a role in ‘The Family’.
She passed away in hospital “surrounded by friends and family” yesterday morning (27 September).
