Care home hosts its own Glastonbury for ‘festival-loving’ residents
A care home in Warwickshire has created its very own Glastonbury to entertain its festival-loving residents.
The Care UK residence in Ambleside set up a main stage, food stands and even a VIP area, for the festivities dubbed “Amblefest.”
It was established after the home learned of residents’ fond memories of attending festivals and concerts in their younger years.
“We have many festivalgoers and music lovers living here, and knew how eager they would be to experience a festival, which is why we decided to try something completely new and pull out all the musical stops,” home manager Julia Joy said.
