Gavin and Stacey star Laura Aikman recorded her family’s priceless reaction after she kept her appearance in the comedy Christmas special a secret.

The actor reprised her role as Smithy’s (James Corden) fiancée Sonia for the final episode of the hit comedy, which aired on BBC One on Christmas Day.

The Sonia star revealed she had not even told her family she was reprising her role for the show finale and they were as shocked as the rest of the nation when she appeared on screen for her upcoming marriage to Smithy.

Laura shared the moment her family saw her on screen again in a heartwarming Instagram video.
