Watch: Eurovision announces Switzerland host city for 2025 contest
The 69th Eurovision Song Contest host city in Switzerland was officially announced on Friday, 30 August.
In a statement, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) confirmed the location of the semi-finals on 13 and 15 May 13 and the grand final on 17 May for the 2025 event.
Swiss singer Nemo secured their country’s chance to host the competition when they took home the trophy earlier this year in Malmo, Sweden, with the song “The Code.”
The new host city, the third largest in Switzerland by population, was selected by the Swiss public broadcasting association SRG SSR and the EBU.
